 Raw meat is dense and pinkish, the fried meat is white, somewhat sweet, but mildly fibrous with medium taste qualities. Because of the small size of this fish, it is used for fish meal. The meat of this fish could be used for mince and the offal could then be used for fish meal. It can also be used for canned products.
